Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s creative brainchild Excel Entertainment gave Saif Ali Khan a unique impetus to his career with the film Dil Chahta Hai in the year 2001.
The actor was going through a rough patch in his career but with the record breaking film Dil Chahta Hai the Nawaab of Bollywood Saif rose back to his feet.
Excel Entertainment is also producing Reema Katgi’s upcoming film which was meant to star Saif. However, actor Saif Ali Khan turned down the movie after signing it but hasn’t returned the signing amount yet. This has created a rift between the two entities.
A complaint has been filed against the actor with the Association of Motion Pictures And Television Program Producers.
According to speculations, actor Saif has not returned the signing amount even after backing out from the film. However, there are rumors that the matter will be solved mutually amongst both the parties.
Apart from this, Farhan Akhtar is busy with his upcoming film Dil Dhadkne Do which also stars Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma and Priyanka Chopra in the main leads. The film will hit the screens on June 5.
