Fatal Car Accidents In Bollywood

[tps_footer]Car accidents may not be as frequent in Bollywood as it is in the West but it has made its ghastly presence felt a couple of times. At times, the victim managed to go scar free, but at other times it took the life away. Here are some of the fatal car accidents that rocked Bollywood.

Jagjit Singh’s son Vivek’s death
The late legendary ghazal singer Jagjit Singh got a huge blow when his only son Vivek met with a terrible car accident. It happened in 1990 and he was all of 21. The incident had a deep impact on Jagjit Singh and his wife Chitra’s life.

Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan during Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania promotions
Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan were touring the country when a mishap threatened their outings. They were in Ahmedabad when the incident happened. Thei luxury sedan was stationary at a traffic signal. The car behind them suddenly lost control and rammed into the sedan, breaking the rear glass into pieces. Both of them were luckily unhurt as they ducked in time.

Karanvir Bohra’s car and Shah Rukh Khan’s van
A daily reported that Karanvir’s car which was standing inside a studio premise was rammed by the driver of Shahrukh Khan vanity van. The car was badly damaged but apparently, Shah Rukh’s manager managed to talk Bohra out of lodging the complaint. But none of them acknowledged the mishap.

Jaspal Bhatti’s death
Famous comedian and filmmaker Jaspal Bhatti met with a fatal car accident in 2012 which took his life. The actor was in the rear seat of his car which also had his son in it. They were returning from Jalandhar after promoting their film Power Cut. The car took a blind turn and it rammed into a tree. Bhatt suffered serious head injuries.

Boney Kapoor
Boney Kapoor’s car rammed into a tractor near Wai this year but thankfully, the filmmaker suffered from minor injuries. Kapoor was returning from Satara where the shoot of Tevar was on. He was returning to Mumbai when the mishap occurred. The car was badly damaged.
