MUMBAI: Sahara Pariwar chief Subrata Roy threw a grand bash to honour Bollywood actress and comeback czarina Sridevi last night.
Sridevi was recently honoured with the Padma Shri by the President himself, for her contribution to cinema and society, and in her honour, a huge party was thrown by Subrata Roy to celebrate the award. Present at the party was Sridevi, beautifully clad in a stunning white crystal-embellished anarkali outfit, while her husband Boney Kapoor stood proudly by her side.
Other guests at the party included Sridevi’s brothers-in-law Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, comedian Satish Kaushik, Gul Panag, singer Sonu Niigaam, and politician Shaina NC. Jeetendra, Prabhu Deva, Madhur Bhandarkar, Poonam Sinha, Anupam Kher, Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, and Subhash Chandra also made their presence felt.
Earlier last week too, a grand party was thrown in her honour down south by Radhika Sarathkumar, and the party was attended by none other than Superstar Rajinikanth himself!
Sridevi also recently revealed that she’s a huge fan of Hollywood legend Meryl Streep, and would love to follow in her footsteps. “I am a big fan of Meryl Streep. I have never planned my career. I chose those films with which I could relate myself. But if given a chance, I would love to do the kind of roles Meryl Streep has done.”
