The much in news movie will be a love story. The film is based on the life of the ruler Alauddin Khilji and his obsession for Padmavati. Padmavati was the queen of Chittor. Reports state that apart from Deepika and Ranveer, Masaan actor Vicky Kaushal is also finalized for the film.
Vicky has already auditioned for the movie, but nothing is finalized as of yet. Kaushal’s role in this gigantic love saga will be of Deepika’s husband. Rumors suggest that Vicky Kaushal will play the role of Deepika Padukone’s husband in the movie.
SLB who is an epitome of perfection has already started work on this project. Singer Shreya Ghoshal has recorded her first song for the film ‘Padmavati’ and soon the film will also start rolling.

On the work front apart from ‘Padmavati’, Deepika is currently gaining all the limelight for her Hollywood debut ‘XXX: The Return Of Xander Cage’. The teaser of the film has released today and is garnering all the positive reviews.
