By now it’s known to all that, Kargil Martyr’s daughter Gurmehar Kaur, a student of Delhi University, has alleged rape threats over her social media campaign against the students of group ABVP. Gurmehar Kaur has taken the social media platform by a storm ever since she has raised her voice against the shocking incident. Yesterday, megastar Amitabh Bachchan was asked to comment on the ongoing row involving Delhi University student Gurmehar Kaur. As expected, Big B refused to speak about the issue in public.
At the trailer launch of his upcoming film Sarkar 3, Big B was asked about his take on the rape threats that Gurmehar received after she raised her voice against a right-wing student organization. The megastar as expected, he chose not to comment on it and said, “What I feel (about it) is my personal opinion. If I say it here, it will become public.”
At the event, Big B was also asked if expressing oneself on social media is a tough job as he is quite active on social media. To which, Amitabh Bachchan replied “If you are on social media, you should be prepared for abuse. I love it.”
Meanwhile, on a related note, Gurmehar Kaur controversy has become a talk of the town ever since former Indian Cricketer Virendra Sehwag trolled her. Virender Sehwag took a dig at it while Randeep applauded Sehwag’s tweet, which did not go well among the users on social media. Many Bollywood stars including Pooja Bhatt, Javed Akhtar, Naseeruddin Shah and others took to twitter and slammed Randeep Hooda and Sehwag over their comments.
