Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer film Drishyam opened to a poor start on Friday and only managed to collect Rs. 5.25 crore net (52.5 million) approx. The film received occupancy rate of only 10-20% at the Box Office on its opening day. However, director Nishikant Kamat’s Drishyam saw a good jump on Saturday and collected Rs. 7.25 crore net (72.5 million) approx. at the Box Office. On Sunday, Ajay Devgn’s thriller suspense drama had a superb run at the Box Office and managed to collect Rs. 9.35 crore net (93.5 million) approx.
With a good first weekend run, Drishyam has collected Rs. 21.85 crore net (218.5 million) approx. at the Box Office. If we includ film’s paid preview collections, the total of Drishyam stands on Rs. 22.35 crore net (223.5 million) approx. The word of mouth has done it for the film as the film saw a good growth on Saturday and Sunday. Drishyam is doing a really good business in places like Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and UP. However, the film couldn’t attract movie lovers in West Bengal and Bihar.

Drishyam could have received much better reaction at the Box Office, if it wasn’t for Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan, as the still running strong and pulled in major amount of crowd on its third weekend. Ajay Devgn’s thriller suspense drama is released in over 2200 screens, yet the film didn’t succeed in doing a splendid business at the Box Office on its first weekend.
Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam will have to work really hard on its first week run at the Box Office and pull in some good numbers if it wishes to have a good run at the Box Office. For now, all our eyes are on Drishyam’s Monday run at the Box Office.

The film takes us through the beautiful scenery of Panjim, Goa, as we meet Vishal Salgaonkar, played by Ajay Devgn and his beautiful family in the suspense thriller. In Drishyam, everything in the life of this cable operator called Vishal, seems normal. Just when we thought nothing can go wrong in Vishal’s life things take a wild turn.
