Habib Faisal, Rishi Kapoor Interested In ‘Do Dooni Chaar’ Sequel

Habib Faisal is interested in coming up with a sequel to his 2010 sleeper hit about the Duggal family, but is waiting for the right script.

MUMBAI: For those who loved the Duggal family antics while buying a four-wheeler in Habib Faisal’s 2010 film ‘Do Dooni Chaar’ and want more of them, do not worry. Habib Faisal is looking to get a sequel made to his critical and commercial hit.

The Delhi-based film about the Duggal family wanting to buy a four-wheeler starred Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor as the lead pair in a film for the first time in 30 years. It also starred Archit Krishna and Aditi Vasudev as their children. ‘Do Dooni Chaar’ won the National Award for Best Hindi Film that year.

“I want to make a sequel to the film and I know that Rishi and Neetuji are equally excited to be part of it, so there is a possibility for the sequel. Right now I don’t have the script because I need a kick-ass script and I don’t know when the script will get ready,” Habib Faisal said.

Luckily, Rishi Kapoor too seems upbeat about the idea for a sequel.

“I am really excited about the sequel and I would love to be part of it, but I haven’t heard anything from the other end,” Rishi Kapoor said about the purported ‘Do Dooni Chaar’ sequel talks.

Habib Faisal also added that if not better, “the sequel should be at least as good as the first one.” This means that although there are no concrete plans for the story of the sequel to ‘Do Dooni Chaar’ yet, the intention is there.

So if the sequel does happen, what will the story concentrate on? Will the Duggals be looking for a new house in this sequel? Seems like a logical progression. When the sequel to ‘Do Dooni Chaar’ comes out, we’ll be sure to line up for it, whether the Duggals are looking for a new house or a new television.
