Film Hamari Adhuri Kahani directed by Mohit Suri has become tax free in Madhya Pradesh. Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi and Rajkummar Rao starrer film is all set to hit the theaters tomorrow.
However not all is going well with this new development, apparently the Congress officials are miffed with this decision to make the film tax free and are questioning the authorities on their tax free stance.
The movie is already in limelight because of its super hit songs. The audience is all the more excited to witness the pair Emraan- Vidya on screen. The film revolves on the sensitive subject of domestic violence.
Reports suggest that film Hamari Adhuri Kahani is exempted from the entertainment tax in Madhya Pradesh. Congress officials on the other hand have a different perspective on the issue and are opining that the BJP government is reducing taxes on the entertainment business but is rather increasing the cost of daily needs of petrol, diesel and electricity.
Generally films which have a moral or are a message giving one are exempted from the taxation, it is rare that a romantic and a drama oriented film has received such an exemption.
The film Hamari Adhuri Kahani is purely a commercial movie based on the subject of an abusive marriage. The movie will hit the screens tomorrow.
