Hideous Costumes Worn By Bollywood Actresses

FeaturedMany of us have learnt to stylize ourselves thanks to our Hindi films. They have taught us what suits well with what. We often follow our actresses and actors and dress like them. But during the 90s the fashion scene wasn’t so happy. Bollywood Actresses wore crazy outfits which would look good on no one. We love everything about the 90s but these hideous clothes. Here’s a look at some fashion disasters of the 90s.

Karisma Kapoor in Baby Baby Baby (Khuddar)
The song created a lot of unnecessary fuss as the Censor board couldn’t accept the word S**y in the lyrics and got it changed to Baby. But that’s not the point here. The point is the ludicrous ensemble Karisma wore in the song. She wasn’t a great dresser than but this was unacceptable. A red shimmering net dress with gold embellishements? Seriously?!

Shilpa Shetty in Dil Ka Darwaza (Main Khilad Tu Anari)
There is nothing good about this ghagra choli. Who wears so many prints on the chest? If the colour was abysmal, the accessories were even worse. Let us not get started on the song at all!

Rekha in Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi
Rekha did a lot of off screen stuff in the film. But we will discuss that some other time. Here we are talking about her straight hair fringe look which was the definition of everything horrible. What was she thinking? She didn’t play teenager in the film!

Kajol in Hothon Pe Bas  (Yeh Dillagi)
If a blue sequined dress, a disheveledly done bun and awkward postures were her definition of being s**y in the song, we don’t know what to say. This attire is simply awful!

Amrita Singh in Suryavanshi
We tried to figure out why Amrita Singh did Suryavanshi and then we realized, it was the lure of bejeweling herself with million of ornaments and look hideous that might have prompted her to take up this film. We couldn’t find out any other reason for flaunting such a strange outfit.

Urmila Matondkar in Chota Chetan 3D
Urmila Matondkar had to be out of her mind to wear such a pathetic costume in this film which we watched with 3D glasses. Is it one of the reasons why she has suddenly went away from the industry.
