MUMBAI: ‘The Dirty Picture’ heroine and Bollywood’s superstar actress Vidya Balan is all set to tie the knot next month.
Vidya Balan is reportedly hooked and booked by UTV honcho Siddharth Roy Kapur. The two are reported to tie the knot on December 14. The duo has been dating each other, albeit secretly, ever since they met on the sets of Vidya’s 2010 film ‘No One Killed Jessica’. All the while maintaining that famous “We are just friends” stance our Bollywood celebrities are so famous for.
This will just be another feather in the uber talented actresses’ cap; after all the success she has seen over the past few years in her professional life. The actress scaled new heights of success with her back-to-back blockbuster films like ‘Paa’, ‘No One Killed Jessica’, ‘The Dirty Picture’ and ‘Kahaani’.
Says the lady, when quizzed about her success, “A very very great actor once told me after ‘No One Killed Jessica’, she said now you have tasted blood and it’s going to be very difficult for you, you will want to do that time and again.”
Not for nothing is the actress now called “The Fourth Khan in Bollywood”. After all, the numbers raked in by her films and the kind of mass hysteria the actress generates, this title was an expected outcome for the South Indian beauty. Her acting skills are unparalleled; and her diverse choice of film scripts just adds to her unique appeal.
But now it seems that matching up to her own standards and challenging herself is what she enjoys most. Post ‘The Dirty Picture’ and ‘Kahaani’, the lady is onto the next big thing in her life: marriage!
As if breaking existing barriers and glass ceilings in Bollywood wasn’t enough, the actress even found time to juggle her love life. Vidya has always maintained that one needs to make time for love, along with work; “I guess so, there’s always time for love.” And so it seems that the lady has finally taken time out from her busy schedule to tie the knot.
Vidya’s upcoming film includes comedies like Ghanchakkar and the sequel to ‘Pyaar Ke Side Effects’, ‘Shaadi Ke Side Effects’. These are, of course, light hearted comedies- easy breezy work for the “heavyweight” actress!
