Once bitten twice shy, Sajid Khan surely can endorse this saying for he seems to be taking all measures this time around to ensure a roaring hit instead of just faffing around. Clearly learning from the past, Sajid Khan and the producers are planning a staggering release overseas.
While the likes of Chennai Express and Dhoom 3 have created records for not just their overseas release but also their collections, Sajid is going all out to break them by releasing his soon to release comedy film Humshakals across a whopping 525 screens in over 40 countries needless to mention, making it a film with the widest overseas release in 2014 so far.
Point to notice is that unlike it’s pedecessors Chennai Express and Dhoom 3, the hype of Humshakals hasn’t exactly been that great. The film does have positive hype what with all the camaraderie of its male stars Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Ram Kapoor stealing the show. And if that wasn’t enough, Bipasha Basu‘s melt down regarding the lack of interest in her role by Sajid Khan and her subsequent absence from the film promotions has also kept the film in limelight.
Humshakals, produced by Fox Star Studios and Vashu Bhagnani‘s Pooja Entertainment, releases today and one can only wait to see how the film works overseas.
