I Could Afford The Delay To Ishkq in Paris: Preity Zinta

MUMBAI: Bollywood’s most bindaas babe Preity Zinta is relieved, excited, and a little nervous about her film, ‘Ishkq in Paris’ finally releasing this month.

The film, which was in the cans for more than a year, has finally emerged with a 24 May release date, as we had reported earlier. Spotted at the press conference of the film this week, Preity looked more than fairly relieved that her comeback film will finally see the light of day.

Preity was seen in her usual candid avatar at the press con, dressed in a lime green top and jeans, with her ‘Ishkq in Paris’ co-star Rrehan Malliek, Sophie Chaudhry and director Prem Soni. The film also stars French actress Isabelle Adjani.

Revealed a nervous Preity about the reasons for the delay: “Prem was very sick. He had to go for a surgery. I decided not to release the film without him. He is not just my director, but also a good friend. In life, sometimes you don’t make commercial decisions, but make human decisions.”

Admitting that the delay cost her a lot as a producer, Preity dismissed this claim by saying, “I could afford it. I don’t believe that business should be done ruthlessly.”

Now, however, Preity has big plans of promoting the film and is ecstatic about it getting a solo release on 24 May. “Every producer wants a solo release. You have to plan all this as a producer.”

What does she have to say about rumours that the film was stuck because of lack of buyers and distributors?

“I hear these rumours from one ear and remove them from the other. I can only hit back by making sure that I do good work,” said the unstoppably positive actress turned producer.
