Last year, Irudhi Suttru was screened at the prestigious Tokyo International Film Festival and the movie was met with a fabulous response from the people and the media, who couldn’t stop praising Madhavan’s stupendous performance in the inspiring movie.
Madhavan said of his win, “It was wonderful to win the award at the global platform. The response to Irudhi Suttru and Saala Khadoos has been overwhelming. I think after four years of hard work and challenges I feel truly vindicated.”
He further said, “I need to thank three women for this project. Firstly, Ritika Singh for investing four years during the most important phase of her life. Not only is Sudha a phenomenal director, she’s the kind of director an actor would like to surrender. I’m grateful to her. And last but not the least, my wife.”
Madhavan said he couldn’t have pulled off this project sans the support of his wife.
