[tps_footer]Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has been receiving a lot of criticism from everyone over his recent remarks on “intolerance” in India. Even political parties have attacked the actor over his remark by telling him ‘to go to Pakistan’ if he has fear in India.
Also security outside Aamir Khan’s residence was tightened as protest against him was staged up over the intolerance remark. Not only that, even people burnt his photographs and criticized him outside a hotel in Ludhiana where is staying currently. The actor is in the city for the shooting of his upcoming movie, Dangal.
The Punjab unit of the Shiv Sena party on Wednesday announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh per slap for slapping Aamir Khan. The Shiv Sena members who protested outside the hotel in Ludhiana, created ruckus.
Punjab Shiv Sena chairman Rajeev Tandon, who was leading the protesters, said, “Any person who slaps Aamir Khan would be rewarded Rs 1 lakh by us.” The Hotel management were harassed with the protest by Shiv Sena as workers blocked traffic in front of the hotel and raised slogans against Aamir.
It all started when at the eighth edition of the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards, Aamir Khan said, “When I chat with Kiran at home, she says, ‘should we move out of India?’ That’s a disastrous and big statement for Kiran to make. She fears for her child. She fears what the atmosphere around us will be. She feels scared to open the newspapers every day. That does indicate that there is this sense of growing disquiet, there is growing despondency apart from alarm.”
