Its ‘Shootout’ Before ‘Dostana 2’ For John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan

MUMBAI: Sources indicate that the next ‘Shootout’ installment, helmed by Bollywood filmmaker Sanjay Gupta, will feature Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham.

The stars of ‘Shootout at Wadala’ were seen partying the night away, to celebrate the success of the film. John Abraham was the focus of everyone’s evening, as he entered the venue clad in a white shirt and ankle length grey slacks. He greeted Anil Kapoor and Tusshar Kapoor most enthusiastically, and was seen enjoying the company of Sophie Choudry.

Jackie Shroff, Kristina Akheeva, Kangana Ranaut, Sanjay Gupta, Siddhant Kapoor, Chetan Hansraj, Shweta Pandit, Tinu Verma and Milap Zaveri soon followed suit, and were seen letting their hair down at the party. Also spotted at the success party were Shivangi Kapoor, Harmeet Singh, Rohit Roy, Akbar Khan and other Balaji staples.

Looks like director Sanjay Gupta is gearing up for the third installment of the ‘Shootout’ series, which will reportedly be based on Vijay Salaskar.

India’s leading encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar, who had gunned down nearly 80 anti-social elements, has been the inspiration for Sanjay Gupta’s new film. It looks like the film will only take some references from the Salaskar chapter in history because in real life this encounter specialist went down fighting terrorists in November 2008.

Abhishek Bachchan is tipped to play Salaskar and John Abraham will, in all possibility, play a top cop. Gupta is unwilling to divulge information as he is still working on the script. A source close to the actors, said ” That the actors are kicked about this project because they think that this action film will bring to the screen their sizzling combination in a totally new avatar.”

Incidentally, “John and Abhishek will start ‘Dostana 2’ in October 2013,” says a source close to Dharma Productions.

John and Abhishek will be seen juggling between guns and kisses, if at all the two movies overlap.
