MUMBAI: Bollywood debutante extraordinaire and freshest face on the block Alia Bhatt has a new tune playing on her lips: the ‘Baby Lips Kiss’ song!
Alia has been roped in as brand ambassador for Maybelline, a cosmetics brand, and was spotted shooting the crowd-sourced video for the ad jingle at Canvas in Mumbai yesterday. Dressed in a white asymmetrical babydoll top and black leggings, Alia ensured she puckered up when the cameras rolled and gave a perfect take.
The 20 year old star equated the brand with herself, when she said: “Maybelline is a brand that reflects my personality of being happy and cheerful, always full of energy and fun. It targets girls like me who are young, fashionable, decisive, love to dress up, are trend conscious and wear bold styles.”
The newbie also credited Karan Johar, who gave her her first hit ‘Student of The Year’. “Karan is like my mentor. He has given birth to me when it comes to getting into this industry. So every decision that I make, I do consult him. He obviously wants me to take my own decisions. He wants me to make mistakes and learn. He is a very important part of my life and career,” she said.
When quizzed about her future plans, and if she would consider doing a film under her father’s successful banner, Alia smiled and said: “For my first film I had decided not to start off with our family banner. I was more than excited to do ‘Student of the Year’ with Karan. But now if something comes up (from Vishesh Films) then I will definitely look into it.”
