Director turned actor Karan Johar was quite open about his experience working in Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet. At the recent trailer launch of the film, Karan shed light on some interesting facts and inside stories of the film. During which Karan revealed Ranbir Kapoor’s special skills and what the actor can do with his life if his acting career fails!

According to Karan Johar, Ranbir Kapoor has got what it takes to be a good filmmaker and that he would do great as a filmmaker and director if his acting career ever fails. KJo suggested that it could be a good fallback plan for the actor if all things do fail! During the trailer launch recalling his experience working withdirector Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar stated that their relationship started from hate and has now transformed into a bond of immense love and respect.

Sharing his experience with costars Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, Karan Johar stated, “Anushka and I actually did very few days of work but those few days were memorable. Ranbir actually codirected the film with Anurag where I am concerned because Anurag would give me one instruction and Ranbir would give me three others. Most of my scenes were with him so felt like I was being directed by him as well. And I have to say Ranbir has the makings of a great filmmaker, which is a great fallback plan for him if all things do fail.”

Getting such a compliment from one of the finest directors of Bollywood is a feather on Ranbir’s hat. Even costar Anushka agreed that Ranbir codirected Karan’s parts and did a good job at that. Well it would definitely be great to see the Roy actor donning director’s hat someday! Their much anticipated film Bombay Velvet will be released on May 15.
