Karan Johar along with Guneet Monga is set to produce the official remake of popular French film The Intouchables. This said film will be directed by Mohit Suri who is currently in the news for directing Ek Villain.
Karan Johar took on to twitter and posted: “Guneet Monga and Dharma Productions will co-produce the official remake of The Intouchables directed by Mohit Suri.”
Confirming the same, Guneet Monga re-tweeted: “Guneet Monga and Dharma Productions to co-produce the official remake of The Intouchables. To be directed by Mohit Suri.”
The Intouchables is a story of the friendship between the two men is then told as a flashback: Philippe, a rich quadriplegic who owns a luxurious mansion, and his assistant Magalie, are interviewing candidates to be his live-in caregiver.
Driss, a candidate, has no ambitions to get hired. He is just there to get a signature showing he was interviewed and rejected in order to continue to receive his welfare benefits. He is told to come back the next morning as he has got the job. Thus stars a unique relation between the two men.
Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano directed The Intouchables that released in the year 2011.
