[tps_footer]Kareena Kapoor attended a lunch that was hosted by socialite Chhaya Momaya in honour of former First Lady Of France Valerie Trierweiler.
Kareena Kapoor looked stunning in a very hot and happening Anand Kabra sari. She teamed it with a heavily embellished high-neck blouse, earrings from Gehna and a Pinky Saraf clutch. She had minimal make-up and that enhanced the look further. The diva looked graceful as ever with her hair neatly tied up in a pony with side parting at the front.
Valerie Trierweiler was the First Lady Of France barely forty eight hours before her India visit. Following a separation from husband – President Francois Hollande, the former first lady decided to go forward with the charity trip to India amidst personal issues.
Ms. Trierweiler is in India to work on the issue of young children and nursing mothers suffering from pneumonia, dysentery and malnutrition in Mumbai’s slum areas. Ms. Trierweiler was in Mumbai as part of Action Contre La Faim, an NGO that works to eradicate hunger. She was invited for the launch of the NGO, Fight Hunger Foundation.
She said she was happy to be in Mumbai. “This is my third visit to India. The first time, I came as a journalist. My second visit was in the capacity of First Lady. This trip was organized six months ago and was being planned for a year. I had to come,” she said.
When asked about her recent personal crises, the former French First Lady, Valerie Trierweiler said, “I don’t know what I will do with my life yet. I have some more years to live, though. I will take it as it comes. Don’t worry for me.”
This was the first time she spoke in public after French President Francois Hollande officially announced their separation on January 25, 2014.
Prior to this lunch, Ms. Trierweiler visited Dharavi, Asia’s largest slum and also went to Sion Hospital, an experience that according to her was shattering.
“I held a malnourished baby in my arms and it was the most moving moment for me. When I saw the baby’s mother I was very moved. As a mother of three children, I can understand how tough it must be,” she said.
