According to reports, Shah Rukh Khan might replace Ranveer in Padmavati. Reportedly, Ranveer has backed out from the project. The story is about a queen Padmavati, and has two heroes in it. The actor, who won almost all the awards last year for SLB’s Bajirao Mastani, isn’t eager to work in the same thing again. Initally, the Gunday actor had been cast to do the role of Allauddin Khilji. Ranveer had worked with Bhansali in superhit films like Goliyon Ki Raasleela- Ram Leela and Bajirao Mastani.

Well, Shahid Kapoor will play Deepika’s husband in the film. The film is about Allauddin Khilji, whose obsession for queen Padmavati is such, he can go to any extent to win her; even if means fighting against her husband.
SRK and Sanjay had worked together in 2002’s iconic Devdas. Apparently, King Khan is quite happy with the script and is ready to give look test for the same. This would be the second film in which SRK-SLB would be working together. However, nothing is official yet. What do you think? Is Shah Rukh Khan a better choice for the role of Allauddin Khilji?
