MUMBAI: After directing ‘Dhobi Ghat’ and assisting husband Aamir Khan in several films produced under the Aamir Khan Productions banner, Kiran Rao is all set to set up her own production house which will produce and distribute quality Indian independent cinema, which otherwise do not release commercially.

Her first film under her new production house is Anand Gandhi’s ‘Ship of Theseus’, which has made rounds of several film festival circuits and has been greatly acknowledged for its content.

Kiran Rao was at PVR Cinemas, a multiplex in Mumbai, to unveil the first look of ‘Ship of Theseus’. Also present with her were Anand Gandhi, director of ‘Ship of Theseus’, UTV Motion Pictures CEO Siddharth Roy Kapur and Mukesh Shah who has co-produced the film along with Soham Shah who directed ‘Kaal’ and ‘Luck’.

Kiran Rao looked stunning in a maroon sleeveless top and black jeans. The black leather shoe matched her outfit perfectly. Siddharth Roy Kapur and Anand Gandhi kept it casual in a black shirt and a blue jeans and a blue shirt and a faded jeans respectively. The unveiling of the first look was followed by a Q&A session and Anand Gandhi shared his experience about ‘Ship of Theseus’

‘Ship of Theseus’ will be produced by Mukesh Shah and Soham Shah. Kiran Rao and UTV Motion Pictures are jointly distributing the film. The film is set to release across the country on 19 July.
