Kirron Kher Set To Enter Politics; Joins Twitter

india'sgottalent017Kirron Kher, who is the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for the Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat, is on a high.

On one side, she has the conditional support of her husband Anupam Kher and on the other Kirron Kher has also joined the microblogging site twitter to build a direct connection with the public.

“Time I get on twitter and make direct connection with all of you. I’m the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from Chandigarh. Need all your support and best wishes.” this was Kirron Kher’s first tweet.

Some disgruntled Bharatiya Janata Party workers greeted party nominee for the Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat Kirron Kher with black flags when she arrived. At a couple of places, the disgruntled workers also raised slogans against her.

The party has named Kirron Kher as the candidate from Chandigarh, ignoring three frontrunners including former MP Satya Pal Jain, Chandigarh Bharatiya Janata Party President Sanjay Tandon and former Union Minister Harmohan Dhawan.

Anupam Kher feels that his wife Kirron, Bharatiya Janata Party’s Lok Sabha nominee from Chandigarh, has the qualities to make a great politician and the veteran actor says he would definitely campaign for her.

“I am not associated with any political party. I have only campaigned once that was twenty five years ago. But I have known Kirron since 1974. For many years she was my friend and she has been my wife for twenty eight years. If I campaign for anybody that would only be Kirron and I will definitely go.” stated a proud husband.

Anupam stated that Kirron is the ideal candidate as she is a fantastic friend, wife and a mother. She is a very good wife and she would be a great politician. Anupam Kher is extremely proud that his wife is fighting elections from Chandigarh as she is from that town.

From the Chandigarh seat, where polling will be held on April 10, 2014 former Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal is seeking re-election as Congress nominee.

Here’s wishing Kirron Kher all the best.
