MUMBAI: Deepika Padukone who will be seen starring opposite superstar Rajinikanth in ‘Kochadaiiyaan’, is apparently having her voice dubbed for the Tamil motion capture film.
Leggy lass Deepika Padukone, in the past at many instances has been criticized for having a southern accent.
However, it turned out to be an added benefit while the gorgeous actress threw an extremely cute southern accent for her role in ‘Chennai Express’.
Deepika’s voice will be dubbed by Savitha Reddy, who has earlier lent her voice to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Genelia Deshmukh in some south films.
“Savitha was the perfect choice for Deepika’s Tamil dubbing. She has a very versatile tone to her voice and she is adept in tuning her chords to elicit the desired performance. Whether Deepika’s character has to ooze grace and elegance, or dramatic prowess and zest, Savitha is a perfect performer. She was totally in sync with what I required from character and the emotion and impact I wanted to create,” said director Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin.
‘Kochadaiiyaan’ starring Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone in lead roles is expected to hit the screens on December 12, 2013.
