It was a coming together of sorts, of legends Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth, for the trailer launch of the latter’s latest film, Kochadaiyaan.
Bollywood’s legendary superstar Amitabh Bachchan had only praises to shower on his South-Indian counterpart Rajinikanth, when he attended the trailer launch of Kochadaiyaan. At an event which was star-studded, to say the least, Amitabh Bachchan led the way, speaking highly of the Tamil superstar.
Amitabh Bachchan was accompanied by his beautiful wife Jaya and his gorgeous daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Aishwarya chose to commemorate the occasion in a floor length elegant heavily embroidered Pankaj and Nidhi anarkali outfit. Also seen accompanying the Bachchans were Aishwarya’s mother Vrinda Rai.
Bachchan couldn’t resist informing his fans of the merits of Rajini’s film, when he posted on his blog: “Back from the launch of Kochadaiyaan Rajinikanth’s motion capture technology film, made directed by his daughter, INCREDIBLE!”
Amitabh Bachchan was also all praises for the director, when he added: “A woman has shown what man could not…..Kochadaiyaan film of Rajnikanth directed by daughter Soundarya, first motion capture film”

Directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth, the film uses a never-seen-before technology in Indian cinema. Starring opposite the South superstar is Bollywood’s very own reigning queen, Deepika Padukone.
Supporting the indefatigable Rajinikanth on his big night were his wife Latha and his director daughter Soundarya. Also seen at the grand event were Bollywood celebrities like Kajol, Anupam Kher, Ramesh Sippy, Kunaal Roy Kapur, and designer Neeta Lulla.
