Lakme Fashion Week: Ranbir Kapoor To Turn Showstopper For Manish Malhotra!

Bollywood’s Barfi star Ranbir Kapoor will be gracing the ramp for fashion designer Manish Malhotra at Lakme Fashion Week. Yes, Ranbir will be walking the ramp as a showstopper for designer Manish Malhotra’s first ever men’s wear show at the upcoming LFW 2015 at Mehboob studio, which will be held on August 25.

Manish Malhotra, who is all set to complete his 25 years long journey in the fashion industry this fall, revealed in a statement that 2015 has been a very special year for him. The designer said that 2015 marks as 25 years as a costume designer and stylist in the movie industry, and a successful decade for his fashion label ‘Manish Malhotra’. According to Manish, true style begins with an impeccably groomed man, who just knows what looks good on him.

Manish’s collection for Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive is for the debonair man; it’s stylish, cool and contemporary. It is said that it exudes sophisticated charm and is an extension of his couture line. Manish is also very happy to have Bollywood’s one of the most talented stars, Ranbir Kapoor as the showstopper of his show. “In keeping with the season, The Gentlemen’s Club collection is a festive fusion of Indian and western couture, focusing on shades of emerald green and adorned with botanical motifs. I am very happy to announce that Ranbir Kapoor will be alking for the show,” well-known celebrity fashion designer Manish Malhotra said.

On work front, we’ll soon get to see Ranbir Kapoor opposite to his ex flame Deepika Padukone in their upcoming film Tamasha. In Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha, Ranbir plays the character of Ved Sahni, a free soul, who just wants to spread happiness wherever he goes, whereas Deepika plays a comic book fanatic girl in the film. The two set out on an adventurous journey together after they meet each other in Corsica, France.

We’ll also see Ranbir alongside his alleged beau Katrina Kaif in Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jasoos.
