MUMBAI: When reel inspires real, you get to see Hrithik Roshan in a dahi handi celebration for real. Looking forward to repeating the experience of the Janmashtami sequence in Agneepath, he is going to be part of Janmashtami celebrations organised by politician Sachin Ahir and wife Sangeeta’s NGO Shri Sankalp Pratishthan at Worli on 10 August. Hrithik says “The joy of participating in a real life dahi handi of such massive scale is unparalleled and unbeatable. This festival brings the entire community together. I am looking forward to see how these agile govindas perform on Janmashtami day.”
Over 400 Govinda mandals will participate in the dahi handi event. The event will also have a ballet performance by Esha Deol who will play Radha before thousands of Govindas. For Sachin Ahir, having Hrithik on board will be his way of bringing the actor to his fans in flesh and blood. “There are millions who see stars like him only on the silver screen, but always wish to see them in real life as well. This event will make those dreams come true,” he says. Amongst guests, Emraan Hashmi and Akshay Kumar will also be present to cheer on the crowds participating in this major feat.
