M S Dhoni Biopic Postponed Because Of Shahid Kapoor’s Shaandaar?

Yes, Sushant Singh Rajput starrer film, which was to release this Dusshera, will now hit screens in 2016. Don’t you find it strange how the reports about the film being pushed to next year came right after Bollywood film director Karan Johar publicly announced his upcoming film Shaandaar’s release date?

Well reports suggest that the film might get pushed to avoid a clash with Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film Shaandaar at the box office. Director Neeraj Pandey’s biopic on M. S. Dhoni was initially to go on floors this month, however, recent reports suggest that the film’s shooting has been delayed. Now the film is all set to go on floors later this July and will most likely hit the theatres next year.

Right from the start, be it film’s shooting schedules or release date, there always has been some or the other kind of snag that put the film on hold. Sushant Singh Rajput, who’s been prepping for his role in M. S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, will now have to wait a little longer to begin with the film’s shoot.

Not only did the makers of the film put in a lot of their efforts and time behind film’s scripting and research, the film’s lead actor Sushant Singh Rajput had to undergo a big change to perfectly fit into the skin of his character in the film. Not only did he grow his hair and build up his physique to look like Mahendra Singh Dhoni, he also used to watch cricket matches to understand and learn Dhoni’s body language perfectly. Shutterbugs often caught Sushant standing in the stadium and attentively watching Dhoni play on the ground.

Not only the team of the biopic, but also audiences were looking forward for the film to go on floors soon and release by the end of this year. But according to this latest buzz, the film will now hit the theatres next year. However, no official person from the film’s team have yet confirmed the reports.
