MUMBAI: Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor, who has been giving acclaimed performances one after the other, says that he is not even 2% happy with what he has done so far.
Says the actor who bagged the TOIFA for the Best Actor in Vancouver, recently, “There is a constant search inside me to find my characters, find the right emotions and do my job honestly and truly. I am not even 2% happy with what I have done so far. This thought of ‘Miles to go before I sleep’ stays with me,” quoting a line from Robert Frost’s classic poem.
The 30 year old feels being friends with his directors provides great learning. He shares a very special bond with each filmmaker he has worked with – be it Imtiaz Ali, Anurag Basu or Ayan Mukerji.
Says Kapoor, “I feel lucky that these people have become my friends because I am learning from them. I am getting to play these characters. The greatest joy for me is not winning an award but a director repeating me. It is a humbling experience.”
He is once again teaming up with his ‘Barfi!’ director Anurag Basu for a biopic on Kishore Kumar. Ranbir Kapoor calls this one a “very special” film.
