Mithoon finally broke his silence and reacted to the matter a week later through his post on facebook. The Tum Hi Ho composer on facebook said, “Just wrapped up the background score of Shivaay and what a fulfilling experience it has been.
I also caught up on some news about a few notes of a bar from my song sounding similar to another. This is my tenth year in the industry and my body of work bears witness to my credibility and originality.
Composing music is a very sacred space for me and I believe that if I do music without integrity, it will be just adding to the noise.
If anyone feels there is more to this, they should explore the legal route.

Interestingly Mithoon has not mentioned the name of Amaal Mallik in his post. According to a report in the leading daily, Amaal revealed that he tried calling Mithoon a few times but after getting no response he took the matter to facebook. Amaal also stated that he wants to have a one-on-one conversation with the Shivaay composer to sort out the things.
However, the fans of both the composers have been favoring their favorite composer. Let’s see what turn this matter takes in the coming days.
