The biopic on former India cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin titled Azhar has been a topic of news the moment the announcements about the film were made. Earlier reports suggested that Bollywood actress Nirmat Kaur was to play a pivotal role in the film but what we are about to tell you reveals something different.
Reportedly, actress Nimrat Kaur never signed the film in the first place. The actress revealed that she was approached to do the film, but she never gave her nod and signed it. Azhar was one of the films she was considering.
Recently, a lot of rumours started to make rounds all over the internet stating that the actress walked out of the film because she wasn’t happy with the script, especially with her role in the film. However, the actress put an end to all the drama by saying, “How can I walk out of a film I haven’t even signed? Beyond that, I won’t be able to tell anything else.”
Reportedly, Nimrat Kaur was to play the role of a lawyer in the film. The actress has an immense fan following and is considered as one of the most talented actors in Bollywood.
Directed by Tony D’Souza, Azhar stars Emraan Hashmi in the lead role. The film is scheduled to hit the theatres next year. The film is produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Sneha Rajani under their banners Balaji Motion Pictures and MSM Motion Pictures. The teaser of the film gained positive reaction from the audiences.
