Bollywood actors Sohail Khan and Salman Khan have geared up for the promotions of their much-talked upcoming film, Tubelight. The two will be seen playing brothers in the film and their chemistry is something that each one is looking forward. However, now it has come to light that Sohail was not Kabir Khan’s initial choice. Yes, you read that right!
Wondering who was the first choice to play Salman Khan’s brother in the film? It was none other than Akshay Kumar. Salman and Akshay who delivered a big hit with Mujhse Shaadi Karogi were supposed to play brothers in Tubelight.
According to DNA, Kabir wanted an A-lister to play Salman’s brother and Akshay was one of the names he had in mind. Kabir Khan said, ”Instead of a real brother, I thought we should get another actor and create the chemistry on screen.”

However, Salman convinced Kabir Khan to consider Sohail for the role. ”That was while we were developing the script, and before we could decide, I was convinced by Sohail. Maybe, with another actor, I would have had to spend time and create the chemistry that Salman and Sohail share,” Kabir adds.
Well, Salman Khan revealed that the reason behind getting A-lister actor was only Box Office numbers. ”They wanted someone bigger so that we could crack the number game and earn more at the box office,” says Salman Khan.
The actor further adds, ”I wanted to be really comfortable, and honestly, with Sohail, I didn’t need to act too much. The emotions came automatically.”
As a producer, Salman wanted that the relationship between brothers is given more importance than its box office prospects. ”So when you see the tears in the film, sometimes, they are my own emotions as a brother,” says Sultan actor.
