Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor: These two young lovebirds were almost meant to be together. Kareena, allegedly nursing a broken heart post her breakup with a married superstar, found herself drawn to the shy, reserved, newfound sensation Shahid Kapoor. Shahid and Kareena were fire and ice- she was the garrulous, outspoken, non-diplomatic one, while he always came across as more mature and sorted. Kareena was so madly in love with her beau that she even turned vegetarian for him. Shahid was known to be overly protective about her, and the duo nearly professed their long-term commitment to one another back in the day, on Season 2 of filmmaker Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee with Karan. Today, of course, the two have long since broken up. Kareena has moved on from this relationship, and is happily married to Saif Ali Khan. Shahid took his own time to recover from the break-up, and was down for many months, before he reportedly found solace in the arms of Priyanka Chopra and subsequently Vidya Balan. Nevertheless, neither of those relationships worked out, and the handsome superstar is still single.
