Twitter reacts to the news of Salman Khan launching smartphones.
After opening the production venture SKF, Bollywood actor Salman Khan is all set to open his next venture and is betting on launching Smartphone. Other than his business in the films, Salman is looking into venturing in different streams. According to reports, Mr Khan, who owns the Being Human clothing brand, has registered his own BeingSmart trademark for smartphones targeted at the entry to the middle market segment.
Reportedly, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan star has selected the Chinese plant and initial phone models that will run on Android and cost below Rs 20,000. Like the Being Human apparel line, even this venture will back its profits to charity and social work that Salman Khan does with his Being Human Foundation.
Reports suggest that the BeingSmart smartphones will initially be sold online and then through strategic partnerships with a few large cellphone and electronic retail chains. They may also be sold in Being Human stores.
As soon as the news was out, Twitterati could not hold themselves from expressing their views on the same. In no time, Salman Khan and his idea of venturing into the smart phone was trolled.
