Sonam Kapoor Mistaken As Deepika Padukone
Sonam Kapoor is at Cannes to walk the Red Carpet for the brand L’Oreal. She has been giving us amazing looks in white and blue outfits to bright red and yellow outfits. Her Cannes looks have been loved by her fans and the media all over the world.
However, not everything went well at the Cannes Film Festival. A foreign media mistook Sonam Kapoor to be Deepika Padukone. The media Agency committed a faux pas by captioning a picture of Sonam Kapoor as Deepika Padukone. It wrote, “Indian actress Deepika Padukone arrives for the film The Meyerowitz Stories in competition at the 70th Annual International Film Festival in Cannes, France on May 21, 2017.”

This is not the first time that the West is confused between Indian Divas. A few months back Deepika Padukone was mistaken to be Piryanka Chopra at the LA International airport. When Deepika was asked about the jumble up of Indian Stars she said that the behaviour is racist.
At the press conference for L’Oreal Deepika commented ”Absolutely. It’s not just me being offended. Everyone should be offended. It is not just ignorance, it is racist. Two people of the same colour aren’t the same. You should educate them and not encourage them,”.
This behaviour of the west clearly shows their ignorance to know more about the Indian actresses. This is not the first time Sonam Kapoor has walked the Red Carpet for Cannes. The West should be more acquainted with her.
