MUMBAI: It was a star-studded Durga Puja, with photographers spotting Bollywood actors, actresses and singers at the Durga Puja celebrations in the city.
Kajol was clicked with cousin Rani Mukerji’s parents Ram and Krishna Mukerji, at a North Mumbai pandal, to pay her respects to Mata. Dressed in a simple white churidar kurta, she looked calm and peaceful, and was seen bowing her head in devotion at the feet of Durga Ma. Kajol is a die-hard Bengali and loves the festivities surrounding Durga Puja. She has famously referred to Bengali women in an interview, as mildly dominating.
Other celebs caught on camera were singers Abhijeet and Hariharan. The evening of Saptami (21st Oct) saw an extravagant bharatnatyam act by Hema Malini which entertained an awe struck audience. The evening of Ashtami (22nd Oct) saw another heart-warming performance by Pritam alongwith singers like Javed Ali, Anushka Manchanda, Shaan, Ritu Pathak, Kavita Seth, etc who paid a tribute to Yashraj ji and also chanted some celebrated numbers which entertained the audience.
Rupali Ganguly, Alka Yagnik were present at the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja to seek blessings of Maa Durga on Novomi (23rd Oct). Ram Mukherjee (Rani Mukherjee’s father) was offering his heartfelt prayers to Durga Maa in a joyous celebration.
