MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and his ‘Special Chabbis’ co-star Kajal Aggarwal were spotted on the sets of dance reality TV show ‘Nach Baliye 5’. Alongwith Akshay, Kajal – A surprise guest on this week’s episode was none other than Ajay Devgn, who came along for the ride, and was seen enjoying himself on sets.
Sparks were bound to fly, when Akshay and Shilpa were ‘aamne saamne’, in a very Bollywood-esque scenario, while shooting for an episode of ‘Nach Baliye’. Akshay came calling on the sets of the dance reality show, which has Shilpa playing the role of a celebrity judge. To be fair, the duo was extremely cordial to one another, and didn’t let their discomfort (if any) show.
To jog our reader’s memories: Shilpa and Akshay used to date way back in the 1990’s. But then Akshay moved on and married Twinkle Khanna, and Shilpa also recently wed her beau Raj Kundra. Since then, they’ve maintained distant yet cordial relations and have even shared screen time on the sets of Bigg Boss (which Shilpa was hosting at the time), when Akshay appeared on the show to promote his show ‘Fear Factor’. Post that, Shilpa Shetty even wanted to cast Akshay ‘Khiladi’ Kumar for a film produced by her production house. Akshay had maintained that he wouldn’t mind working with Shilpa Shetty again provided a good script came their way. So far, they’re dreams haven’t come true, but perhaps the camaraderie on sets of ‘Nach Baliye’ was an indicator of things to come.
Akshay and his co-star Kajal Aggarwal from ‘Special 26’ arrived to promote their upcoming film, which hits screens this Friday. Akshay even sang a song on stage for her, which provided much entertainment to the celebrity couples on the show.
Shilpa looked radiant in a pink one shoulder gown, which she later replaced with a knee length shimmering gold dress. She was joined by the dance show judges Sajid Khan and Terence Lewis in posing for a photo-op with the guest stars. Such a fun-filled, star-power-packed episode, this!
