MUMBAI: Bollywood’s favourite bad-boy Emraan Hashmi was spotted promoting his latest film, ‘Rush’.
At Mehboob Studios on Tuesday, we spotted Emraan in conversation with real life crime reporter Hussain Zaidi. Emraan, who plays a crime reporter with a top news channel in his latest release ‘Rush’, was seen deep in conversation with his counterpart in real-life, Hussain Zaidi.
Zaidi is a veteran crime reporter and renowned journalist, who has covered the Mumbai mafia on several different occasions. Hussain Zaidi is an author as well. Perhaps Emraan was drawing inspiration from him while enacting the role of a crime reporter, in ‘Rush’.
We saw Emraan in a casual grunge look, with a blue tee and jeans. He looked relaxed and comfortable, posing for questions from the media about his upcoming release, and smiling for the shutterbugs. This is the first time we will see Hashmi as a journalist in one of his films.
This is not the first time we have seen such innovative marketing and promotion for a film. Previously, we have seen Aamir promoting his film ‘Ghajini’ by giving the signature ‘buzz’ haircut to his fans. Recently too, the promotions and music launch for ‘Talaash’ was held in a suburban hotel, recreated to resemble a red-light area, which is an integral part of the movie.
‘Rush’ is directed by Shamin Desai, produced by Percept Picture Company, and stars Emraan Hashmi, Neha Dhupia, Sagarika Ghatge and Aditya Panscholi. The film releases on 24th October.
