NEW DELHI: Bollywood fashionista Sonam Kapoor was spotted in the Capital city yesterday, at the launch of the L’Oreal Paris Femina Women Awards 2013.
The beautiful and intelligent young actress was seen doing her bit to promote Women’s Day, as she announced the upcoming L’Oreal Paris Femina Women Awards 2013 in New Delhi on the eve of International Women’s Day.
Looking stunning as always, clad this time in a pink and grey (yes, what an unlikely yet interesting combination of colours!) Masaba Gupta for Satya Paul sari, Sonam once again proved why her sartorial choices are among the best in the business.
Her fashion acumen aside, Sonam spoke at length about Women’s Day, and why it’s time for Indian men to learn to respect the women in their lives.
Said an exuberant Sonam: “As a young woman, I am honored to support a platform that celebrates and honors the most accomplished women in various walks of life for their talent, grace and ability to inspire and achieve. Being a part of the L’Oréal Paris family has inspired me to play a larger part in this wonderful initiative. My personal favorite is the founder of ‘Bal Rashmi’. She has done some phenomenal work against sexual exploitation and towards the empowerment of women and children.”
Also seen at the event was L’Oreal Paris marketing manager Mandhi Guha and Femina editor Tanya Chaitanya. The nominees for the women’s awards were chosen after extensive research and selection process by the jury. The L’Oreal Paris Femina Women Awards 2013 will be held on 19 March 2013.
