Imran Khan has taken to promoting his latest film, Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola’ so seriously, that he is seen at radio stations nearly every other day. The handsome actor, whose last films ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ and ‘Ek Main Aur Ek Tu’ were hits, has seriously been considering taking up RJ’ing as an alternative career.
We caught up with Aamir Khan’s nephew Imran Khan at the 92.7 BIG FM Studios on Sunday. Imran looked typically chocolate boy-esque in a wine coloured shirt and jeans, as he fielded questions on ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola’ from RJ Yamini. He even cut a specially ordered cake and fed the studio hands.
His co-star in ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola’, Anushka Sharma ‘Bijlee’ was missing from the promotions. Reports had come in that the spunky actress had taken ill post gorging on seafood at a Bandra eatery with her friends. So much so, that she even reported an hour late to the filming of reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss’, and was petrified of keeping Salman Khan waiting for that long. The shooting had had to be delayed by a couple of hours, and buzz was that Salman Khan was not at all pleased.
It certainly appears that Anushka has sworn off seafood for the time being, as she is missing one after the other promotional activities for ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola’, and this is not going down well with her director Vishal Bhardwaj.
‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola’ releases on 11th January 2013, the first big release of this year, and has a socially relevant theme at its crux.
