MUMBAI: We bring to our lovely readers exclusive inside pictures of what transpired on stage at the ‘Colors Screen Awards’ night, on Saturday in Mumbai.
As was expected, the top three superstars of the night were Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor. Ranbir’s act was an astounding take, reminiscent of his grandfather Raj Kapoor’s turn as a joker in ‘Mera Naam Joker’. Ranbir recreated the Raj Kapoor magic dressed as a clown in an Oxford-print sweater vest, trousers and a French cap. Perched on his nose was a red clown’s nose, which only enhanced the theme of his performance, which also saw jugglers, and other artists, impersonating circus artists. The second act of his performance saw Ranbir paying tribute to his father Rishi Kapoor, dressed in a qawali singer’s outfit, replete with this mustache and a shiny golden waistcoat. This of course was an ode to Rishi Kapoor’s song in ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’. Reportedly, Ranbir also burnt the dance floor with his mother Neetu Singh, for the very first time. SEE PHOTOS
Coming to Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra’s sizzling on-stage act, rest assured we were rendered speechless! Not only were the two looking sexier than ever (he in a stylish black tuxedo with a brand new hairtsyle; she in a floor length black sequined off-shoulder gown), but their chemistry was palpable for all to see! They set tongues wagging once again, hinting at their more-than-friendship relationship, and their intense chemistry and longing as they gazed into each other’s eyes… SEE PHOTOS
Shah Rukh made Priyanka feel like the Queen of the World, while serenading her on-stage. The two even pulled each other’s legs, and teased one another incessantly in good humour. Soon, they forgot the existence of the audience as they looked intently into each other’s eyes, and came very, very close, nearly pressing their lips together! Priyanka then boldly planted a kiss on Shah Rukh’s cheek, which we’re sure will cause the man many problems once he reaches home to wife Gauri Khan.
The duo was soon joined onstage by Ranbir, this time in an orange sherwani kurta. It is no surprise that Shah Rukh taught Ranbir a few tricks of the trade, to enhance his on-screen wooing of the lovely Bollywood actresses. All we can say is: the night was most certainly an affair to remember!
