MUMBAI: Even the Indian cricket captain wouldn’t have got so many whistles that Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone got last evening at the music launch of ‘Chennai Express’.
With men clad in white mundus (read dhoti) and the ladies in checked lungis, the music launch of ‘Chennai Express’, was the most innovative launch in recent times. Adding to the glitz and glamour were Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan, at their crazy best.
Dressed in a shimmery sequined golden-black gown, Deepika Padukone along with Shah Rukh Khan clad in a black suit grooved with audiences to the popular numbers of ‘Chennai Express’.
Also present at the grand music launch were Bhushan Kumar, Rohit Shetty, Ronnie Screwvala, Shekhar of Vishal-Shekhar fame, Amitabh Bhattacharya, actress Priyamani (featuring in the One Two Three number), Nikitin Dheer, The Morani brothers – Karim and Mohammed from Cineyug, and singers Chinmayi Sripada, Neeti Mohan along with other singers from ‘Chennai Express’.
With Shiamak Davar’s dancers enthralling audiences to the songs from the film and Shah Rukh Khan entertaining with his wittiness, the music launch of ‘Chennai Express’ was surely an evening to remember.
‘Chennai Express’ produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and distributed by UTV Motion Pictures will release on 8 August.
