MUMBAI: There’s love in the air, quite literally in Bollywood at this time of year. Before you jump any guns, we’re referring to the bonhomie and show of solidarity expressed by the film fraternity, at film premieres and parties. And the screening ‘Race 2’ was just another such occasion…

This Abbas-Mustan multi-starrer had just as multi-starrer a premiere, with Bollywood biggies attending the special screening of the film on Thursday night. And the biggest show of affection came from very unlikely quarters at this racy premiere. Deepika Padukone (in a sexy red bandage dress) and Priyanka Chopra (in a nude pink lace sari) stunned everyone with their camaraderie and giddy giggliness. The two ladies looked very comfortable together indeed, maybe a bit too comfortable.

Another surprising entry was Bipasha Basu’s. This being a John Abraham starrer, people were indeed surprised to see his ex at the premiere, looking hotter than ever in a white lacey short dress. John though, looked oblivious to her presence, as he posed for pictures only with his ‘Race 2’ co-star Jacqueline Fernandez.

The showstoppers of the night were certainly the film’s cast and crew: Saif Ali Khan in a striped tee and jeans, which looked like he’d borrowed from his wife’s closet. Kareena though didn’t make it for the premiere. Ameesha Patel in her inappropriate ripped tee and tiny shorts, with chappals and a bottle of water, Kabir Khan and his wife Mini and Madhur Bhandarkar with his wife. Director-duo Abbas-Mustan stuck to their classic white safari suits, and were indistinguishable from one another as always.

Also present at this starry night were director Farah Khan with her brother Sajid, Sophie Chaudhry, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Tabu, Aditi Rao Hydari, Tusshar Kapoor, Yami Gautam, and Ileana D’Cruz (flying solo this time around, in an eclectic white skirt, a navy tank top and a furry white cardigan).
