Raees Vs Kaabil: Oops! Rakesh Roshan Calls Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees Makers UNETHICAL!

Last week when Kaabil‘s producer Rakesh Roshan shifted his film’s release date to January 25 from January 26 after facing a clash with Shah Rukh Khan‘s most awaited film, Raees, the Raees team decided to prepone their dates too.

Apparently, Kaabil will release in theaters from 6 pm on wards whereas Raees will release since morning itself.

Rakesh Roshan shifted the dates after seeing a clash with Raees but after the trailer launch, the filmmakers told that even Raees will be released on that day itself.

When Rakesh Roshan was asked about this action by Raees, he said that he belongs to an old school of film making and would never release a film on a day when another filmmaker has already announced the film. Rakesh Roshan termed the act as unethical.

Rakesh Roshan expressed his wish to see a progress in the film industry and commented that by doing such things the Raees team is destroying the film industry and being unethical.

When Shah Rukh Khan was asked about his inputs on the impending clash at the Raees trailer launch, he told the media that the team had already been thinking of this shift with the distributors and exhibitors. He said that Raees will open with regular shows and Kaabil will follow with evening shows. He added that this is fairly a logical decision as January 26 is a holiday and the team had decided to reveal the date only at the trailer launch.

Rakesh Roshan told the media that he could have easily screened Kaabil with Ranveer Singh‘s Befikre and Aamir Khan‘s Dangal. He had his film ready since August but he looked for a date where there could be no competition and all the films could easily get their earnings and business.

He expressed his disappointment by saying that no dates belong to him but there are certain ethics that the industry should follow.
