A few days back, pictures from the sets of Sanjay Dutt’s biopic went viral on the internet which showed Ranbir Kapoor looking very much alike Sanjay Dutt.
All of us know that the Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt’s biopic is in the making process and the director Rajkumar Hirani is putting his heart and soul into it. The lead actor, Ranbir Kapoor who will be seen portraying Sanjay Dutt in the film, is also giving his best to bring out the man’s character in the most real-looking way possible.
Remember those pictures of the actor which were leaked from the sets of the film which had Ranbir looking a like Sanjay Dutt? Well the pictures went viral on the internet and all of us were indeed shocked to see the transformation. But the makers were not happy as they wanted it all to be revealed only with the final film.

Recently, Rajkumar Hirani, the director of the film, reacted on the leaked pictures saying, “The pictures shouldn’t have come out. We were shooting in Carter road (in Bandra, a suburb in Mumbai) so it came out. But I am very happy. The film is being made with a lot of happiness and when a film is made with happiness, it turns out good. It’s a great story.”
Talking to a daily, a source close to Sanjay Dutt says, “Sanjay got to know from someone how Ranbir’s look was circulated on various websites and everyone loved it. That’s when the actor learnt about the photos. On seeing them, he was stunned at the similarities that filmmaker Raju Hirani and Ranbir Kapoor had worked upon. He has absolutely loved it.”
Speaking earlier on the look, Ranbir Kapoor had said, “As you can see, I’m in the look of Sanjay Dutt and we have shot for more than half of the film. It feels proud that I’m part of his biopic and I’m very thankful to Vinod Sir (Vidhu Vinod Chopra) and Sanjay (Dutt) sir specially for it.”
According to the reports, 60 per cent of the shooting has been done and the team is looking ahead for their next schedule in New York. Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, the film also stars Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Manisha Koirala, Karishma Tanna and Paresh Rawal.
