[imagebrowser id=248] MUMBAI: Bollywood’s resident lover-boy and Casanova, Ranbir Kapoor is trying hard to appease his ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone. Or so it would seem; for we caught up with the hunky ‘Barfi’ star at the recently concluded finale of Tata Open India International Challenge 2012.
Ranbir looked uber fit as he was asked to grace the finale of Tata Open India International Challenge 2012, a badminton championship, in Mumbai on 16th December. As we all know, badminton is Deepika Padukone’s pet sport, and her father Prakash Padukone is a former badminton champion of India.
The Tata Open India International Challenge was organized by Badminton Association of India (BAI), and we even spotted a further link to the Ranbir-Deepika love saga: Deepika Padukone’s father himself. Ranbir Kapoor was spotted sporting a very casual black tee, beige trousers and a brown leather jacket to this sporty event.
Deepika’s dad, Prakash Padukone, former Indian badminton champion was also seen- interacting with the rising sports stars on and off court. Ranbir took time to greet his ex’s father, and was seen interacting with the fans and media present at the event.
Ranbir signed more than a dozen autographs, and charmed the children and the lovely ladies with his wit and boyish appeal. Ranbir has been in the news time and time again, more for his personal life than his films. We’ve been fed tidbits about this link-up, and then that- while the Kapoor lad seems to go through ladies like we would clothes in our closet. His on-again, off-again relationship with Deepika has been making headlines, and we are curious to see the sparks fly and the romance rekindled in their upcoming film ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’, which releases sometime next year.
Also, we’ve had reason to believe that the Killer Kapoor lad is now onto his next fling: this time around, it is Deepika’s arch-rival, Anushka Sharma that Ranbir has taken fancy to. Recent reports have hinted at their camaraderie and goofy antics at a recent B’town event, and we are sure there is something more than friendship brewing between the two young, red-hot stars!
