MUMBAI: Just as Ranveer Singh recently revealed he was very calm on sets of ‘Lootera’, his co-star from the film Sonakshi Sinha debunks this claim!
The duo was spotted at the music launch of their period romance-drama film, which is set in the 1950’s. Ranveer channeled his ‘Ram Leela’ naughty boy avatar in a dark grey suit and fun purple pocket square, while the Sinha lass predictably wore a sari.
Ranveer had famously said that he had become calm while shooting ‘Lootera’ recently: “I did very interesting preparation before playing the character. I stopped watching television and using mobile. I became very calm. I have given a very calm performance.”
However, here’s what his co-star Sonakshi said about him at the music launch: “Ranveer and I are opposites. As hyper as he is, I am calm. Even as actors, our styles of working are different. He likes to prepare whereas I don’t switch on until the camera comes on.”
Sonakshi also spoke about the magic of the fresh pairing, and how the director brought out the best in them. “The beauty of ‘Lootera’ lies in how Vikramaditya Motwane (director) tuned two diametrically opposite actors so well with each other. I’m sure that the audience will love to see our fresh pairing,” she said.
Guess we will have to wait for the film to release, and decide whether to believe Ranveer, who thinks he has become calmer, or Sonakshi, who thinks he is very hyper.
