There were rumours that Ranbir’s closeness with his ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone during the promotions of their 2015 film, Tamasha, created a rift between the lovers. However, Deepika is not responsible for the end of their relationship. According to our source, the breakup was not all of a sudden. They were dragging their relationship for the sake of it. They were not getting along quite well for some time but still thought of giving it a chance. Sadly, still things did not work out for them and they decided to call it quits. This also puts an end to the speculation that RK broke up with Kat under his parents’ pressure.
The breakup badly affected their film Jagga Jasoos. The shooting of their film was stalled for quite a longer time. The film that was supposed to hit the screens this year, will now release in 2017. Directed by Anurag Basu, the shooting of the film is still going on. Ranbir and Kat are still not on the talking terms. Jagga Jasoos will release on April 7, 2017.
