Ringing Care: UNICEF Ambassador Priyanka Chopra Launches Mobile Application

Former Miss World Priyanka Chopra continues her association with philanthropy activities, launches a mobile application for UNICEF, where she is the goodwill ambassador.

MUMBAI: Priyanka Chopra continues to keep her promise she made while winning the Miss World Pageant in 2000. The actress had promised to be a part of social and philanthropic activities and bring about change in society. 

Priyanka Chopra has continued the good work, be it standing for various women’s causes like female infanticide and education for girls.  The actress has been working for these causes and is associated with several NGO’s. Her association with UNICEF dates back to as early as 2008.

The UNICEF had appointed Priyanka Chopra as the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 2010 and the actor since then, has been working and lending support for the UNICEF activities.

Priyanka Chopra was seen at UNICEF’s Mobile Application Launch programme. The actress raised funds for adolescent girls under the Dare To Care initiative, the proceeds of which are being used for the launch of the application.

The actress, who was wearing a light peach dress interacted with the kids from UNICEF and shared her experiences with the guests. Also present on the occasion were Dr. Sesha Iyer and Lise Grande from the United Nations.

Included in school textbooks, Priyanka, continues to be an inspiration. Take a bow, Ms. Chopra
