MUMBAI: Come November 29, 2013 Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Bullett Raja’ will hit the silver screen.
The film’s proposed name was ‘Jai Ram Ji Ki’, but on the suggestion of Saif Ali Khan it was named ‘Bullett Raja’ to give it a more gangster look. The shoot of this film began exactly a year ago on November 6, 2012 in Lucknow and later in Kolkata,Nasik and Mumbai.
Both real and fake guns were used during shooting while Saif used real guns for realistic look.
According to Saif, his character in the film is charming, naughty and reckless, someone who doesn’t take authority easily, a factor that makes him attractive and at the same time he is a convincing killer.
Year 2013, has been full of up’s and down’s for Saif. Till now he has had two releases – ‘Race 2’ and ‘Go Goa Gone’.
On the personal front, Saif Ali Khan was earlier married to actress Amrita Singh. Their thirteen year marriage went sour and the couple parted ways in 2004. Post that Saif dated Rosa Catalano, a Swiss model born in Italy but then they too parted ways. Finally, Saif met Kareena Kapoor and as they say – the rest is history. They completed one year of marriage on October 16, 2013.
Coming back to ‘Bullett Raja’, the film stars Sonakshi Sinha, Jimmy Shergill, Chunky Pandey, Ravi Kishan, Gulshan Grover, Vidyut Jamwal, Raj Babbar, Sunny Leone and Saif Ali Khan.
‘Bullet Raja’ will be released in the US on November 28, 2013, a day before it opens up in Indian theater.
Very rarely that a Bollywood movie is released in the US ahead of its India release, but then it’s being done to coincide with the Thanksgiving Day – Thursday, November 28, 2013.
‘Bullet Raja’ is being directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and is scheduled to be released in about hundred theaters across the US and Canada.
