Karan Johar has been facing too many casting hiccups for Shuddhi ever since Hrithik Roshan excused himself from the project on account of his health conditions. Kareena Kapoor, who was to be the leading lady of the film also left the project for no clear reason. Then Karan approached Aamir Khan for his dream project but he too turned down the project.
Thereafter, Karan approached the hit jodi of Goliyon Ki Rasleel-Ramleela, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.
But Unfortunately for Karan, the news of these two also leaving the film for Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s Bajirao Mastani was out as they could not match up with Karan’s dates.
Now according to a source, few days ago Karan had visited Salman Khan‘s residence with the bound script of Shuddhi. And Salman has loved the story, and the dates and other logistics are being worked out. It’s been really long since the audience have seen Karan and Salman come together for a film. Here’s hoping Shuddhi to be that film!
Shuddhi will be directed by Karan Malhotra.
